9/11/2001 - the world weeps

September 11 2001: Two airplanes crashed into the World Trade Towers. When the towers were destroyed firefighters from around the United States came to the rescue. They put out remaining fires and spent days clearing rubble and pulling people out of the destroyed buildings. Today the place is a memorial called Ground Zero. The world will never forget this terrible event and we can only pray that something like this will never happen again. In all the darkness there was light on nine eleven because many good people risked their lives and lost their lives for others. We pray that the families will go on with their lives as their loved ones would have wanted.

A lot of volunteers came to the destruction, to release the captured people. I think that the volunteers are very good people, because they endangered their lives for other people.

I remember the 9/11/01 very well, I was 8 years old and I didn't understand what happened until my mother told me that many people died. Now, when I'm older, I understand what happened in the 9/11. Many policemen, firefighters and volunteers helped the poor people that were in the building when the airplanes hit the building. Now we write about the brave people that sacrificed their lives to save other people, THEY ARE REAL HEROES.

I remember September 11th. I remember my dad told my mom that he heard that the twin buildings had been crushed. I remember the pictures of the airplanes crushing into the buildings, and then the upper half of the building fell into the other half. Two buildings, two airplanes, and thousands of people were destroyed on that day. I remember the two tall buildings, that I saw every day when I lived In America - but no more. Now there is just a plain area there, with no buildings, and no life.

I still didn't forget the event that happened 4 years ago. I think it is so unfair that people who didn't do anything to anybody died, leaving a hurt family behind them. It is horrible that people were hurt so badly when they weren't guilty of anything. I feel that there is a lot of injustice in this, for the families who lost their loved ones.

We appreciate all of the firemen, policemen and regular people who saved people they don't know. They are such good people; heroes, who risked their lives for others. This is a noble action. We want to remember the people who died, and the people who gave their heart and soul and saved other's lives. We dedicate this project to them.

We saw terrible pictures that showed people jumping out of the buildings. We remembered that there was and still is terror in Israel & wherever we go there is still terror. This thought scared us a lot. We saw the people that ran to save other people and it reminded us that there are still good people in the world. Even though many people helped there were still a lot of wounded, and we didn't understand why anyone would do such a thing.

The world has a scar that will never be forgotten.
